About the story
Yousef, Layla, Omar, Maryam and Karim are building Dream City out of cardboard, colors and ideas for the big class exhibition. Each one has a job that fits their strength. But one hour before the families arrive, the wind blows the door open and the whole city crashes to the floor. Can five different heroes save it together, using the very tools that helped each of them?
This is the sixth book and the Season One finale of our Different Heroes series, where every hero is a child who learns in a different way. And at the very end, a new friend appears at the classroom door…
Who it’s for
- Children aged 5–8
- Every child, especially children who learn differently, and the classmates who learn alongside them
- Parents and teachers who want to build an inclusive classroom where every child’s strength is seen
Reading it together
- Stop and ask: “What job did each hero have, and why did it suit them?”
- Talk about the new boy at the end: “How can we welcome a new friend to our class?”
- Ask your child: “What are you good at? What would you draw on your hero badge?”
- The PDF also includes a quick guide to all five heroes and their tools, tips for an inclusive classroom, and a “Hero Badge” activity.
